Curbside Recycling Collection

  • Program Description: Recyclables are collected together in one container as a single stream mixture.
  • Schedule: Once-a-week single-stream recycling collection. Always put your recycling out to the curb the night before your collection day. The Township recycling trucks start at 6:00 a.m. Recycling containers and contents cannot weigh more than 60 pounds.

Mixed Office Paper (Recycling - Commingled Paper) Mixed paper consists of newspapers, magazines, junk mail, envelopes, telephone books, chipboard (cereal, pizza, gift boxes, etc.), soft cover books, and office paper. These items may be cross-tied with twine and bundled no higher than 12 inches or they may be placed in brown paper bags, a milk crate, or paper recycling bin. (Paper cannot be put in a garbage can or plastic bag.)

Newspaper (Recycling - Commingled Paper) ewspapers are included with mixed paper such as magazines, junk mail, envelopes, telephone books, chipboard (cereal, pizza, gift boxes, etc.), soft cover books, and office paper. These items may be cross-tied with twine and bundled no higher than 12 inches or they may be placed in brown paper bags, a milk crate, or paper recycling bin. (Paper cannot be put in a garbage can or plastic bag.)

Corrugated Cardboard (Recycling) Must be flattened and tied in bundles not larger than 3’ by 3’ or stacked in another box. Bundles must be free of foreign material and may not include chipboard such as pizza, soap, cereal and gift boxes.

 

Curbside Yard Waste Collection

  • Program Description: Curbside collection of vegetative waste for recycling including all vegetative waste such as grass clippings, leaves, twigs, garden refuse, shrub trimmings, and tree branches up to 3 inches in diameter and up to 3 feet long. Large paper bags or hard reusable containers (Maximum 60 lbs.) properly marked "Yard Waste" must be used. Yard waste in plastic bags will NOT be collected, but they may be brought to the recycling center and dumped out. Branches, twigs and brush must be tied in bundles. IMPORTANT: No logs or stumps will be picked up at the curbside. They must be brought to the recycling center.

Brush/Tree Parts (Recycling) Tie in bundles no higher or longer than 3 ft. no more than 3 inches in diameter and must not exceed 60 lbs.

Christmas Trees (Recycling) Typically accepted curbside for recycling on normal recycling days about a week after the new year. Remove all decorations and no tree bbags or stands.

Grass Clippings (Recycling) Place in either biodegradable brown paper bags or in open containers, not to exceed 60 pounds.

Leaves (Recycling) Place in either biodegradable brown paper bags or in open containers, not to exceed 60 pounds.

  • Schedule: This material is only collected on the second garbage pickup of the week. Check with the town for more information.
