Aluminum Containers (Recycling - Commingled Bottles and Cans) Rinse thoroughly (no residue allowed)

Glass Containers (Recycling - Commingled Bottles and Cans) Remove lids, rinse the glass. Put metal lids into container; do not put metal lids back onto glass bottles and jars.

Plastic #1 (PETE) Bottles (Recycling - Commingled Bottles and Cans) Empty, rinse. Do not put caps/lids back onto bottles. Put caps/lids into the garbage.

Plastic #2 (HDPE) Bottles (Recycling - Commingled Bottles and Cans) Empty, rinse. Do not put caps/lids back onto bottles. Put caps/lids into the garbage.

Steel (Tin) Containers (Recycling - Commingled Bottles and Cans) Empty, rinse. Aerosol cans must be empty. Remove plastic cap/lids, and put them into the garbage.

Chipboard/Paperboard (Recycling - Commingled Paper) Flatten all boxes. Include beverage carriers, cereal, pasta and facial tissue boxes, paper towel rolls.

Corrugated Cardboard (Recycling - Commingled Paper) Flatten and mix with other paper, and do not bundle or tie.

Newspaper (Recycling - Commingled Paper) Do not tie or bundle.

Telephone Books (Recycling - Commingled Paper) Also include paperback or softcover books. Do not include hardcover books.

 

Curbside Yard Waste Collection

  • Program Description: Hauler will pick up grass clippings and leaves at the curb.
  • Schedule: Vegetative Waste Pickup is on Wednesdays from the first Wednesday in April trhough the 2nd Wednesday in Decmber.

Brush/Tree Parts (Recycling) Tree parts must be brought to the depot. Only two bundles, cans or paper recycling bags of brush may be recycled curbside each week and weigh only a maximum of 40 lbs.

Christmas Trees (Recycling) Collection is typically on three Wednesdays in January. Remove all decorations and no tree bags or stands. Call the Township for actual dates.

Grass Clippings (Recycling) May be composted or put out for curbside collection in paper recycling bags only. Limit 2 bags.

Leaves (Recycling) May be composted or put out for curbside collection in paper recycling bags only. Limit 2 bags. This limit does not apply to our spring/fall collection program.

 

Curbside Bulky Waste Collection

  • Program Description: White goods and light iron collected weekly. For pickup call the municipal building at 973-697-1500. Other bulky items are picked up on your second garbage collection day weekly. Limit: 1 bulky item per pickup and no pre-arrangements are necessary.
