  • Notes: NJDEP hauling decals are required on all vehicles using the transfer station with if they meet any of the three following conditions:
    1. they have commercial license plates; or
    2. they are registered with a gross weight of 9,000 pounds or more; or
    3. the vehicles is not hauling self-generated solid waste.

    With the above three restrictions in consideration, please realize most rental trucks (U-Haul, Ryder, etc.) will not be not allowed to be used at the transfer station since they likely have commercial plates on them without having the necessary NJDEP hauling decal affixed to the vehicle.

Acceptable Material - Recycling

Fluorescent Light Bulbs (Recycling) Prior arrangements must be made with the MCMUA prior to delivery. Call 973-631-5109 for more information. Costs are: $0.07 per lamp foot. $2.00 per Sodium vapor and Mercury vapor bulbs. Packaging available for a fee. U-shaped and compact bulbs are $0.60/bulb. Broken bulbs are not accepted and must be managed as hazardous waste through the MCMUA's program if eligible.
