Solid
Waste Education
The MCMUA maintains a small reference library which
houses books, periodicals, curricula and audio and video tapes. Various promotional
materials such as brochures, decals and magnets are available to the public at no cost.
A program titled "A Tour of Trash and Treasure" featuring a color slide
show is also available free of charge to schools as well as civic, social and religious
organizations. The slide show tour begins at curbside and proceeds to the transfer stations, to a compost site, to a household hazardous waste collection event, to a
supermarket and finally to a recycling facility.
For more information about any of
the MCMUA's education programs contact Penny Jones,
Recycling Education Specialist by email or by
phone at 973-285-8395.
