  • Hours: M-F 7am-4pm and Saturdays 7am-2pm. Extended hours are in effect during October and November on Saturdays and Sundays. Compost and mulch, if available, may be picked up during these same hours.
  • Notes: Recyclable materials picked up at your home may also be brought to the Recycling Center
  • Limitations: Open to Mountain Lakes Borough residents only. No grass is accepted.

Shredded Paper (Recycling - Commingled Paper) Must be put into a translucent or clear plastic bag and the bag must be tied closed. No other plastic bags are to be included with recyclables.

Batteries (Dry Cell) (Recycling) Rechargeable batteries only, deposit in Call2Recycle Box in DPW building
Books (Hard Cover) (Recycling) Deposit used and unwanted books in the green book bin. All usable books will be donated to charity organizations or resold. Any unusable books will be property recycled.
Cell Phones (Recycling) Deposit in Call2Recycle box located in DPW building.
E-Waste - Computers, TVs, etc. (Recycling)

A drop-off receptacle for the disposal of home electronics is now available at the Recycling Center. Accepted electronics include the following: televisions, computers, monitors, laptops, computer peripherals such as keyboards and mice, fax machines, VCRs and radios. Absolutely no curbside collection.

Leaves (Recycling) Deposit leaves in the area marked "Leaves Only" -- NO plastic bags. No grass is accepted.
Textiles (Recycling) Leave clothing and shoes ONLY, in the designated bins. Any donations left outside the bins will be thrown away.
Tires (Recycling) Whole tires may be left in tire shed.
